“We will never forget the days of joy and celebration we have him to thank for” – members of the Uvijekvjerni Fan Club (Always Loyal)”

The coach’s coach, Miroslav Ciro Blazevic, the former selector who helped Croatia win third place in the 1998 World Cup, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Uvijek vjerni Fan Club (Always Loyal) in 2013. It was recognition from the fans who have been supporting the Croatia national team since day one. Ciro Blazevic was chosen to win almost unanimously!

“We will never forget the days of joy and celebration we have him to thank for,” members of Uvijek vjerni Fan Club (Always Loyal) explain.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome the fans and I thank those who thought of me. Those who follow sports will remember what Ciro always says – a team without fans is like a country without an army; and military experts all agree that Croats are the best fighters in the world. The fans now have their own space where they can be knights and they have never abandoned their team. I am certain that they can only get more invested and efficient,” said Ciro.
